This car was very special, it's design contained many modifications to suspension and axle geometry.

The Bodyshell was built as light as possible, every scrap of unwanted material was removed.
The front suspension mounts were moved to give wider track and more castor.
Rear suspension mounts were installed to provide maximum traction, front and rear track was the same.
Bilstein suspension, 170lb front springs, 146lb single leaf rear springs.
The first car to be fitted with alloy x pack arches, fabricated in house at Gartrac.

The lightest Rally Escort Mk2 of it's time, made especially for Ari Vatanen to drive.
