    DESCRIPTION

    Simpson Stainless Steel Exhaust Manifold 4-2-1: Ford Escort Mk1 & Mk2 with Cosworth YB Aspirated

    The Simpson exhaust manifolds are all hand made from 304 grade stainless steel using 1.2mm wall tubing, so is lightweight.

    The welds are all fully TIG welded and gas purged to stop any oxidisation in the welds which stops them becoming brittle.

    The manifolds are all equal in length and use the Simpson Merge Collector design where the joints are slip jointed and held together by spring joints to allow for any movement/expansion.

    Dimensions:

    • 2" primary
    • 2.125" secondary
    • 2.5" exit

    4-2-1 manifold (Rally Spec) - this manifold is a great option for both carburettor and fuel injected engines. It is extremely versatile; suiting engine capacities between 2.0L and 2.6L. The key feature to this manifold design is the smooth power curve and wide power band it creates. It is most suited to an RPM range of 3500 - 8500.

    Fitment note: the 4-2-1 and 4-1 YB manifolds have been designed to suit both crossmember and chassis mount engines. Due to the wide variety of engine installations in Mk1/Mk2 Escorts, it is recommended that new engine mounts are fabricated once the best engine position has been achieved with the manifold fitted.

    Application:

    • Ford Escort Mk1/Mk2 fitted with Cosworth YB 16v aspirated engine

    Notes:

    Must be used with World Cup crossmember

    Does not fit with servo towers

    Does not fit Capri
