As of 1st July 2026, goods valued at €150 or less are no longer automatically exempt from customs duty. Combined with existing VAT rules, this means additional charges for some shipments entering the EU.
What has changed?

Low value shipments will be subject to a new flat-rate duty of €3 per line item. This charge is separate from VAT and any courier administration fees that may apply to the shipment.
November 2026: An EU-level handling fee of approx €2 per consignment is being considered.
